Russian deputy PM: Azerbaijanis to travel to Nakhchivan via Armenia
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk has said that Azerbaijani citizens will travel to Nakhchivan and back through the territory of Armenia.
Overchuk, who also co-chairs the trilateral working group on unblocking economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus, made the remarks in his recent interview, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
"Unblocking transport links is a definite plus for all parties. Azerbaijani citizens will have the opportunity to travel to Nakhchivan and back through the territory of Armenia. And Armenia will finally be able to freely move citizens, vehicles and cargo to Russia, Iran, Central Asia and back through the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. And this mutual movement, the development of trade and human relations, as I said, will finally allow us to begin to heal the long-standing wounds in the South Caucasus region. We are working to make this happen," the Russian deputy premier said.
According to him, all agreements are being built, including taking into account this factor.
