Russian drone shot down by Ukraine crashes in Romania photo
A Russian drone crashed in Romania on the night of March 26 after being intercepted and shot down by a Ukrainian air defence system, the Romanian Ministry of Defence confirmed.
The ministry reported that Russian forces had deployed drones to attack civilian sites and infrastructure near the river border with Ukraine. In response, Romanian authorities scrambled two F-16 fighter jets to monitor the airspace.

“At 00:44, a drone shot down by Ukrainian air defences entered our national airspace at a distance of approximately 4 kilometres. The drone crashed 2 kilometres from the town of Percheș, outside the populated area,” the ministry statement said.
Emergency services, including firefighters and teams from the Ministry of National Defence, quickly arrived at the crash site. They reported burned vegetation and scattered drone debris.
