Russian attack in Ukraine's Kharkiv leaves eight injured, including children, elderly PHOTO/VIDEO/UPDATED
Eight people, including two children and two elderly individuals, were injured in a Russian attack in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, local authorities reported.
Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, pointed out the casualties occurred across several locations, ASTRA reports.
In the village of Volos'ka Balakliia, Kupiansk district, an 11-year-old boy sustained injuries.
In Zhukiv Yar village, a 74-year-old woman and an 85-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds.
In Kharkiv city, a 16-year-old girl was wounded.
In Zadonecke village, Chuhuiv district, four individuals were injured, including a 55-year-old woman and three men aged 27, 52, and 60.
Local emergency services responded promptly to the incidents, providing medical attention to the injured and securing the affected areas. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and assess damage resulting from the strikes.

In Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, four fires erupted overnight as a result of Russian drone strikes, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported.
In Oleksandrivka village, Izium district, structural elements of a private home were engulfed in flames across 90 square metres, and the roofs of neighboring houses sustained damage.
In Zhukiv Yar village, Kupiansk district, outbuildings on the properties of two private homes—covering 70 and 40 square metres—were destroyed by fire, and a vehicle was also damaged; two individuals sustained injuries in the incident. Meanwhile, in Rozdolne village, also in the Kupiansk district, a private home burned across 100 square metres.
Emergency response efforts involved SES units, medical teams, and rescue officers from local communities, all of whom worked to contain the fires and mitigate the damage caused by the strikes.
