Russian FM arrives in Kyrgyzstan for SCO talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a working visit, where he is due to attend a meeting of foreign ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

According to Kyrgyz news outlet 24.kg, the meeting will take place on July 24 in the resort town of Cholpon-Ata.

The foreign ministers are expected to discuss key international and regional issues, including the security situation across the SCO region, measures to strengthen stability, and the sustainable development of Eurasia.

Lavrov is also scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the gathering.
