Russian FM says drone allegations against Moscow lack evidence

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused Western media of attributing the appearance of unidentified drones in European countries to Russia without providing sufficient evidence.

Lavrov made the remarks while addressing the international forum “Dialogue on Fakes 4.0.”

“Today, the topic of Russian drones has become fashionable in Western media — drones that allegedly appear here and there in European countries and attack various facilities on their territory. But every time, it turns out that either it was not a drone, or it was a Ukrainian drone, or it was a drone that is difficult to identify as belonging to the Russian Federation,” Lavrov said.

According to the Russian foreign minister, the details surrounding such incidents have increasingly been overlooked, with the focus instead shifting toward broader narratives about Russia.

He argued that the issue was being used to “play information cards,” rather than being examined through a detailed assessment of the circumstances surrounding each reported drone incident.
