Russian Foreign Ministry claims West distorting WWII history
The West is undermining the foundations of the post-war world order enshrined in the UN Charter and is dividing the victims of the Second World War into groups, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
“At the same time, the foundations of the entire post-war world order, which is enshrined in the UN Charter, are being undermined,” Zakharova said during a speech at the Rossiya Segodnya International Multimedia Press Centre, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
She said that, for many years, Western countries have been classifying participants of the Second World War in ways that distort historical facts.
Zakharova also accused the West of attempting to erase its responsibility for the Munich Agreement. According to her, European states are concealing information about their “non-aggression agreements with the Nazis.”
