Russian, Indonesian leaders to discuss Iran at upcoming meeting
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has departed for Moscow for a meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, during which the leaders will discuss the current geopolitical situation, in particular tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran.
The Secretary of the Indonesian Cabinet Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that Indonesia would express its strategic position in safeguarding global stability and peace, Caliber.Az reports, citing Indonesian media.
He said the meeting will also focus on energy security and bilateral cooperation.
“Indonesia will continue to work with the Russian government and ensure a stable supply of energy in the country, including oil availability,” he added.
The Kremlin press service also stated that Putin and Prabowo Subianto will discuss the development of a strategic partnership, as well as important international and regional issues during their meeting in Moscow.
