Russian Interior Ministry reveals victims of Bryansk gymnasium shooting

The Russian Interior Ministry has revealed victims of shooting at Bryansk gymnasium.

“An accident at Bryansk gymnasium resulted in the killing of a schoolgirl who committed a shooting, and her classmate, who was wounded,” the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs in the Bryansk region said, Gazeta.ru reports.

The police have tentatively found out that one of the students brought a firearm into the building of gymnasium No 5 in Bryansk. She fired several shots, causing five people to be injured.

Then the schoolgirl committed suicide. One of the classmates of the shooter later died of the wounds.

The police are currently establishing the circumstances and motives for the incident.

In the emergency room of surgery of the city and regional children's hospitals said that two victims of the shooting in the Bryansk gymnasium are in a state of moderate severity. According to the doctors, one child was diagnosed with a shoulder and knee wound.

Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko took personal control over the medical care of the injured, the ministry reported.
