Russian leader presents sabers, chess to Turkmen ex-president

Press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Ashgabat with several gifts for Turkmen ex-President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is celebrating his 65th birthday.

“President Putin presented chess made by Zlatoust masters, the Returning Rider sculpture, made by the great-grandson of the St. Petersburg sculptor Lansere, and two sabers - one old and one new to the Turkmen ex-president,” Moskovskij Komsomolets newspaper quotes Peskov as saying.
