Russian military base in Armenia holds training with MiG-29 jets

The personnel of the motorised rifle units of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District (SMD) in Armenia have held training fire from RPG-7V hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers at targets imitating armoured vehicles of a mock enemy as part of a scheduled drills session at the Alagyaz high-mountain training ground, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.

During the training, the servicemen hit targets imitating tanks of a mock enemy located at a range of 250-300 metres. The shooting was carried out in daylight and at night using day and night observation and aiming devices.

Particular attention of instructors and unit commanders is given to improving aiming skills in various weather conditions and changing positions after firing shots.

More than 130 servicemen and 20 units of military and special equipment, including the MiG-29, took part in the training flights.
