Russian military base in Armenia hosts nuclear, chemical weapons defence drills

The Southern Military District's radiological, chemical, and biological protection specialists have trained with soldiers from the Russian military base in Armenia to prepare for the enemy's use of weapons of mass destruction.
During the theoretical part of the training, under the guidance of specialists and commanders, the soldiers reviewed the types of such weapons and ways to protect themselves from their effects, Caliber.Az reports, referring to the Russian Defence Ministry.
The practical part of the training included practising the use of standard equipment for individual and collective protection and passing standards, the ministry said.
More than 150 servicemen were reportedly involved in the exercises.
