Russian military correspondent dies in Belgorod region
Military correspondent for Russia's Channel One, Anna Prokofyeva, has been killed in the Belgorod region near the village of Demidovka, her colleague and blogger Vladimir Romanov reported.
"While carrying out an editorial assignment, military correspondent Anna Prokofyeva of Channel One was killed. A brave, honest, and decent person. A professional," Romanov clarified, Caliber.Az informs via Russian media.
The television channel has not yet confirmed the information.
Prokofyeva had regularly worked under fire, reporting from conflict zones.
Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that the situation in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district remains difficult. The day before, around noon, the regional head spoke of 20 shellings from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, during which 149 projectiles were fired, as well as an attack by 29 drones, of which 14 were shot down.
