Russian military doctors treat victims of fuel tanker explosion in Garabagh

Military doctors of the Russian medical detachment provide assistance to the residents of Azerbaijan’s Garabagh region, who suffered following the explosion of a fuel tanker at a petrol station on the Khankendi-Asgaran highway on September 25.

According to the Armenian Health Ministry, about 200 people were injured as a result of the incident, Interfax reports, citing Russia’s Defence Ministry.

As the ministry said, since the explosion, 23 people have applied to the medical unit with burns of the upper respiratory tract, upper and lower extremities.

A block-modular camp with medical equipment has been deployed on the territory of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, the ministry added.
