Russian oil depot catches fire after suspected drone attack
Governor of Russia’s Tambov region Maxim Yegorov has reported an explosion on the site of the Platonovskaya oil depot, after which the tank caught fire.
Presumably, the cause was a drone attack, Caliber.Az reports, citing Egorov’s Telegram channel.
Platonovskaya oil depot is located in Rasskazovsky municipal district. The fire is being extinguished by the forces of the territorial subsystem of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, including fire and rescue units from the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Mr Egorov wrote in Telegram. In addition, the remains of a UAV were found in the Pervomaisky municipal district, it exploded in the air.
No one was injured as a result of the attacks. In the Tambov region "measures have been taken to ensure security", the head of the region said.
Russia's air defence assets have repelled a drone attack over six regions, the Russian Defence Ministry said. UAVs were shot down over Adygea, Kuban, Bryansk, Rostov, Belgorod and Orel regions. An oil depot was on fire in Adygeya and a woman was killed in Krasnodar Krai.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defence Ministry said in its Telegram channel that six UAVs were destroyed or intercepted over Adygea, three each over the Bryansk region and Krasnodar Krai, and one each over the Rostov, Belgorod and Orel regions.
Governor Murat Kumpilov reported a fire at an oil depot in the village of Enem in the Takhtamukai district in Telegram. The fire was completely extinguished at six o'clock in the morning. The area of the fire was about 400 square metres. No one was injured and there was no threat to residents.
In Krasnodar Region, a private house in Slavyansk-on-Kuban was completely destroyed in an attack, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev reported. A resident of the neighbourhood was killed. The head of the region instructed the head of the Slavyansk district to provide assistance to the family of the deceased.
In the Bryansk region, no one was injured as a result of the attack, there was no destruction, Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported. Governor of Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported a missile threat in the region, it was cancelled at 4:37.
