Russian oil refinery suspends operations after drone falls on its site

An oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban in the Krasnodar region has suspended operations after drones falled on its area.

The announcement came from Eduard Trudnev, director of integrated security of the Slavyansk ECO group of companies,  according to Interfax.

According to him, the damage to the enterprise is currently being assessed. Representatives of law enforcement agencies are working at the scene.

Earlier, the head of Slavyansk district Roman Sinyagovsky said that six unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) had fallen into the territory of the oil refinery.

According to him, the attack occurred on the night of May 18-19. Explosions were also heard in the areas of the old cemetery and Trudobelikovskoye farm.
