The Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia has reported voter bribery allegations linked to the “Strong Armenia” bloc, headed by Russian entrepreneur Samvel Karapetyan, in Lori province.
Investigators from Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee, in cooperation with the National Security Service, have forwarded evidence in a criminal case involving alleged voter influence efforts in favour of a political alliance, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The case concerns a parliamentary candidate from the “Strong Armenia” bloc, along with several residents of the Lori region, who are suspected of being offered incentives in exchange for supporting the alliance in National Assembly elections.
Following the investigation, several individuals have been detained, while searches and other procedural actions have been carried out as part of the ongoing case.
