Russian police search suspect burning Holy Quran

On the fact of the publication of a video with the burning of the Quran, the holy book of Islam, a criminal case was initiated, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow reported on April 15.

Currently, the police are conducting a set of operational-search measures to identify, search for and detain a suspect, according to a press release from the agency, reports Moslenta.Ru.

The alleged place of the event is the territory of the Eastern District of Moscow.

The article under which the case was initiated is not named. According to the Telegram channel Baza, the video was recorded on the shore of the Holy Lake in Moscow. A man burns the Quran with the words "Moscow for Russians, know your place."

Earlier, trash blogger Stanislav Bazarov was detained in Moscow for desecrating a religious icon.
