Russian president, Armenian PM to hold talks in Vladivostok
Russian presidential aide Yuriy Ushakov has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will discuss the Karabakh settlement on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok city.
"The topic of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement is expected to be discussed. Russia continues assisting in the normalisation of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations on the basis of tripartite agreements among the leaders. The Russian peacekeeping contingent ensures security in the region," Ushakov told reporters, according to TASS.
He added that the sides will also discuss key aspects of Russian-Armenian relations, including the prospects for building up trade and economic cooperation.
"Cooperation is developing in the energy sector. Gas supplies from Russia reach more than 2.4 billion cubic meters (bcm) per year (1.41 bcm in January-June 2022)," he added.
