Russian regions come under drone attack overnight
Several Russian regions were targeted in overnight drone attacks allegedly carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to regional authorities and media reports.
In the early hours of May 1, the Rostov region came under an aerial assault. The head of the region, Yury Slyusar, said via Telegram that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was intercepted and destroyed in the Myasnikovsky district. No casualties or material damage have been reported.
Slyusar warned that the threat of further drone attacks persists and urged residents to remain vigilant and adhere to safety precautions.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Krasnodar region was also targeted overnight. According to reports from the Telegram channel Shot, a Ukrainian drone attack struck the city of Tuapse. Residents reported hearing explosions, and regional operational headquarters confirmed that a fire broke out at a marine terminal following the incident. Authorities stated that no injuries were recorded.
