Russian strikes hit Dnipropetrovsk region, leaving dead and injured PHOTO
Russian strikes on Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region have left multiple people dead and injured, while causing widespread damage to infrastructure and residential areas, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
“In Kryvyi Rih, as a result of the evening attack, 2 people were killed, and 4 were injured, including one child. Infrastructure, an enterprise, and a gas pipeline were damaged in the city. Firefighters extinguished three fires,” the agency reported.
In the Synelnykove district, overnight attacks hit residential areas, killing 2 people. The service added that a day earlier, 4 more people had been killed and four injured. More than two dozen homes were damaged in the Dubovykivka and Mykolaivka communities, where rescuers also extinguished two fires.
Further shelling in the Nikopol district injured 3 people and damaged infrastructure, private homes, and vehicles across multiple communities and the district centre. Emergency crews responded to two additional fires.
In Marhanets, rescuers responding to earlier strikes were themselves targeted. A drone strike damaged a fire-rescue vehicle, though no personnel were injured.
In the Samar district, shelling triggered a large fire at an infrastructure site. More than 100 emergency workers and 40 units of equipment were deployed to contain the blaze.
Overall, the attacks caused casualties across several districts and required extensive emergency response operations.
