Russian tourists injured in Turkish traffic accident, investigation underway
A traffic accident in Türkiye’s Karaman province has left six Russian tourists injured, one of whom is in serious condition, as they journeyed to a festival in Cappadocia.
The incident occurred when a passenger car collided with a minibus transporting the tourists. The impact caused the minibus to lose control, crash into road signs, and overturn. In total, eight individuals sustained injuries, including the six Russian nationals, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
All those injured were promptly transported to Karaman Training and Research Hospital for medical treatment. Preliminary reports indicate that while one Russian tourist remains in serious condition, the others are in satisfactory health.
The group was traveling from Antalya to attend a festival in Cappadocia at the time of the accident.
Authorities have launched a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine its cause and responsibility.
