Russians buy air tickets to Türkiye, Kazakhstan, UAE until end of September
The Russians have bought air tickets to Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Kazakhstan till the end of September.
Tickets for direct flights to Istanbul (Türkiye) and Dubai (UAE) ended last weekend - the Russians laid out 110,000-200,000 roubles ($1,902-$3,804) or more per person for per ticket, Gazeta.Ru reports, citing the data of the booking system of ticket aggregators.
For a flight to Istanbul on September 28 (with three transfers), the price tag is 178,500 roubles ($3,087), to Almaty – 62,400 roubles ($1,080). Getting to Yerevan (Armenia), also with three connecting flights, will cost 187,900 roubles ($3.250) and a direct flight to Tashkent (Armenia) 322,500 roubles (roughly $5,580).
According to the vice president of Russia’s Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) for outbound tourism Artur Muradyan, the demand for tickets is now at its peak. From October 1, air tickets for selected destinations will be cheaper than now. For example, a flight to Istanbul (with two connecting flights) will cost 75,200 roubles ($1,300) per person.
From October 15, as the expert assures, tariffs will get back to normal. On this date, getting a ticket to Istanbul will cost just 33,200 roubles ($575), to Dubai - 72,500 roubles ($1,254), and to Almaty - 26,500 roubles ($460).
