Russians most active on Lyman, Avdiivka front – Ukrainian General Staff

The Russians actively assaulted Ukrainian positions along the whole front line within the past 24 hours, with most attacks being repelled on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka front and a total of over 90 combat clashes occurring over the day.

"Ninety-four combat clashes occurred within the past 24 hours. In total the Russians launched one missile attack and 68 airstrikes,and launched 78 attacks from multiple-launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and on settlements," General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Facebook, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group on the Kupiansk front, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled two Russian attacks near the settlement of Synkivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman front, the Defence Forces repelled 13 Russian attacks near the settlements of Terny, Yampolivka, Torske in Donetsk Oblast and 19 more near Serebrianka Forest and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Hryhorivka, Verkhnokamianske and Vesele in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut front, the Ukrainian forces repelled seven attacks by the Russians near the settlements of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavriia Operational Strategic Group on the Avdiivka front, the Defence Forces are continuing to deter the Russians which keep trying to encircle Avdiivka. Within the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have repelled 18 more attacks near the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka and 16 more attacks near Sievierne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Marinka front, the Defence Forces continue to deter the Russians near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast where 12 Russian attacks were repelled.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled three Russian attacks to the west of the settlements of Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational Strategic Group on the Kherson front, the Defence Forces are continuing to conduct measures to extend their bridgehead. Within the past 24 hours the Russians carried out 1 assault on the Ukrainian positions but to no avail.

Ukrainian Defence Force aircraft launched 22 attacks on the areas where Russian manpower, armament and military equipment were concentrated, as well as on an anti-aircraft system belonging to the Russians.

Rocket Forces and Artillery units struck three clusters of manpower, eight artillery systems, an air defence system and two electronic warfare stations belonging to the Russians.
