School shooting: Seven hurt as student fires gas pistol in Russia's Vladivostok

An eighth-grade student opened fire with a gas pistol at a gymnasium in Vladivostok, Russia.

The incident was reported by the RT Telegram channel, which added that seven children were injured as a result of the shooting.

“The victims complained of tearing eyes and a burning sensation in their airways,” the report said.

Notably, the metal detector at the school’s entrance did not activate because the gas pistol was made of plastic.

Meanwhile, the Telegram channel “PrimaMedia. Primorye” reports that juvenile affairs inspectors are working at the scene.
