Senior Iranian adviser predicts war to end before Nowruz holiday
A senior Iranian official has said the ongoing war could end within days and predicted that China and Russia would ultimately emerge stronger from the crisis, while the United States would suffer reputational damage.
Yahya Rahim Safavi, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, stated that the war could conclude within 10 days, before the Nowruz holiday on March 21, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
He argued that neither the United States nor Israel is capable of sustaining a prolonged war against Iran while Iranian armed forces remain actively engaged.
Safavi also suggested that Beijing and Moscow would be among the strategic beneficiaries of the conflict, saying their economic and military influence would grow as a result of the confrontation. In contrast, he said Washington had already been humiliated and that Iran would seek to impose its demands in any eventual settlement.
