Senior Iranian cleric rejects any agreement with United States
A senior Iranian cleric has said that no one in the country is pursuing an agreement with the United States, underscoring hardline opposition to potential negotiations.
Ahmad Alamolhoda, a senior cleric based in Mashhad, dismissed the prospect of talks, stating that discussions with Washington have yielded no results, as per Iran International.
“No one is even talking about an agreement with America,” Alamolhoda said, adding that talks had proven “useless and fruitless.”
He emphasised that any decision on negotiations ultimately rests with Iran’s leadership, while rejecting the possibility of concessions. According to him, no official would agree to give up enriched uranium, dismantle nuclear technology, or limit the country’s missile capabilities.
