Ararat-73 champion Sergey Pogosyan dies aged 78

Former Armenian professional football midfielder Sergey Pogosyan, who was part of the legendary Ararat-73 team, has died aged 78, according to Armenian media.
Pogosyan was born in 1948. He played in the Soviet top division for Leningrad's Zenit in 1968 and 1969 before joining Yerevan's Ararat in 1970.
He made 63 appearances for Ararat and scored five goals.
In 1973, Pogosyan helped Ararat win both the Soviet Cup and the Soviet championship title in the same season.
He was also awarded a Certificate of Honour by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
