Seven arrested after shooting injures 11 students in Türkiye

Seven of 10 suspects have been arrested following an armed attack near Inci Uzmez Vocational High School in Turgutlu district of Türkiye’s Manisa province that left 11 students injured.

A 15-year-old identified as H.O., who is suspected of opening fire, was arrested by order of the on-duty magistrate’s court. His mother, father, grandfather, cousin and a friend were also arrested, along with the owner of a hunting supply store who allegedly sold ammunition to the minor, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media. 

The court released three other suspects under judicial supervision.

Eight of the 11 injured students have been discharged from hospital after receiving medical treatment, while three remain under treatment at specialised clinics.

The shooting took place near the school on September 22. Law enforcement officers detained all 10 suspects following the incident.
