Shooting in Iran's Tuyserkan leaves one dead, multiple injured VIDEO
A deadly shooting unfolded in the western Iranian city of Tuyserkan, located in Hamadan province, resulting in one fatality and eight people wounded.
Authorities told media that three of the injured victims remain in critical condition, per Caliber.Az.
The governor of Tuyserkan, Shamaei, confirmed that the assailant began shooting at civilians near the Kermanshah–Tuyserkan road. According to the prosecutor’s office, the attacker, who was found to be suffering from a psychological disorder, used a combat-grade firearm during the assault.
Later investigations identified the shooter as a 33-year-old resident of Tuyserkan. He opened fire from the roof of his own house, targeting people on the street below. Security forces responding to the scene shot and injured the gunman during his arrest. He was subsequently detained and transferred to a hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement officials also revealed that the individual had consumed psychoactive substances shortly before the attack took place.
