Smartwatch users receive arrhythmias diagnoses en masse
Users of Google's Pixel Watch smartwatch have started getting diagnosed with arrhythmia en masse due to the presence of an ECG (electrocardiogram) sensor in the gadget that tracks heart activity, 9to5Google reports.
"Pixel Watch owners have started receiving notifications about irregular heart rhythms from the Fitbit app. Users are encouraged to explore the notification in more detail. It also indicates when the data was last analysed," the reporters said.
Google's branded watch does not have an official setting to receive notifications of suspected arrhythmia. The described feature is not available on the official Pixel Watch page either.
According to the publication, the Pixel Watch may have started a beta test of a feature that was not available when the gadget was released. Similar suspected arrhythmia reports are already working on devices from other manufacturers.
