Snoop Dogg’s concert in Yerevan postponed to indefinite date
American rapper Snoop Dogg’s Yerevan concert slated for September 23 has been postponed due to the mass protests, organizers announced.
Opposition rallies in Armenia started amid a new conflict in Garabagh and non-interference by official Yerevan, Kommersant reported.
"We regret to inform you that the Armenian government has officially announced the decision to postpone the concert of Snoop Dogg, scheduled for September 23," Doping Space, the organisers of concerts in Armenia, said.
The comments of fans under the Instagram post of Doping Space about the postponement were ambiguous. Some decided to sell tickets because they thought the concert would not take place at all. Others decided to gamble on the rise in prices, so they bought tickets now because of their low cost. Some social media users suggested cancelling the concert altogether.
