Snowstorm forces closure of key Georgia border routes

Truck traffic toward three Georgian borders is prohibited due to weather conditions.

The movement of freight vehicles is temporarily banned on international highways Akhalkalaki–Karçakhi (Georgia–Türkiye border) and Akhaltsikhe–Ninotsminda (Georgia–Armenia border) due to snowfall, low temperatures, and blizzards, Caliber.Az reports via Sputnik Georgia.

Since February 2, the Gudauri–Kobi section, leading to the Georgia–Russia border, has been closed to all types of transport due to a high risk of avalanches.
