Source: Iran won’t resume talks with US without policy shift

Iran will not resume negotiations with the United States unless Washington changes its position, Fars news agency reported on July 11, citing a source close to the negotiating team.

The source said that claims that Tehran had requested talks were false.

The comments follow a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump on July 10 that Washington had agreed, at Iran’s request, to continue negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict, adding that the ceasefire had ended.
