Speaker: Georgia to host trilateral parliamentary meeting with Türkiye, Azerbaijan

Georgia is set to host a trilateral meeting of the foreign affairs committees of the parliaments of Georgia, Türkiye and Azerbaijan, Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili has announced.

The announcement was made during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Numan Kurtulmuş, where the sides discussed strengthening interparliamentary cooperation, regional connectivity and key global developments, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

According to Papuashvili, particular attention was given to the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor, which continues to gain relevance as a key trade and transport route linking Europe and Asia.

The officials also reviewed the current state of bilateral relations between Georgia and Türkiye, alongside broader international issues.

During the talks, Papuashvili expressed condolences to Kurtulmuş over the tragic deaths of Turkish schoolchildren, extending sympathy to the families affected.
