Speaker Ghalibaf: Iran’s US peace plan proposal has no alternative
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said that the plan presented by Tehran to the United States for resolving the conflict has no alternative.
“There is no alternative but to accept the rights of the Iranian people as laid out in the 14-point proposal. Any other approach will be completely inconclusive; nothing but one failure after another. The longer they drag their feet, the more American taxpayers will pay for it,” Ghalibaf wrote on the social media platform X.

Iran submitted its response to the 14-point memorandum on May 10. US President Donald Trump described Iran’s proposals as unacceptable.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Iran has refused to dismantle its nuclear facilities. Iranian authorities agreed to transfer enriched uranium to a third country but demanded guarantees of its return if negotiations fail. Tehran is also insisting on a phased reopening of the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting a US maritime blockade.
