Sunni militants attack Iran's military posts, killing several security forces VIDEO
The insurgent Sunni Baluch group Jaish al-Adl attacked police stations and military units in the Iranian cities of Chabahar and Rask in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
A soldier, a member of the Basij security forces, a security guard and two policemen were killed in a clash with terrorists in Chabahar. Among the dead is the deputy chief of the Chabahar city police department, according to IRNA.
It was noted that in Raska the militants planned to infiltrate the IRGC headquarters, but they failed due to a firefight with the military.
According to an informed source, three militants were injured, one of them later died. Clashes and the pursuit of terrorists continue.
Iran’s Deputy Interior Minister Majid Mirahmadi said: “Eight terrorists who attacked the military headquarters in Chabahar and Raska in southern Sistan and Baluchestan have been killed so far.”
