TASS official praises Azerbaijan’s impact on Antalya Diplomacy Forum, highlights regional cooperation talks
Azerbaijan's participation has significantly enhanced the prestige of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF), said Mikhail Gusman, First Deputy Director-General of Russian TASS agency, who is attending the 4th edition of the event.
Gusman highlighted the forum's growing importance, noting that it has evolved over the years to address pressing global issues, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
"I would like to first emphasize that the current motto of the forum – “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World”– evokes a strong sense of pride," Gusman remarked.
"The participation of dozens of leaders, hundreds of ministers and diplomats, and thousands of specialists and young people interested in diplomacy elevates the international significance of this event. Listening to President Erdogan’s opening speech, which covered all the critical issues in the world, further underscored the importance of this forum."
Gusman also noted the significance of the high-level discussions taking place, particularly the platform titled “Challenges and Opportunities for Regional Cooperation in the South Caucasus”, where the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia are set to participate.
"Meetings in this format are especially necessary to foster peace in the Caucasus," he said. "This confirms how many urgent issues, particularly those waiting to be resolved in the region, are raised at this forum," he added.
World leaders and government officials have convened for the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF 2025), taking place from April 11 to 13, under the theme Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World.
Hosted in the Turkish resort city of Antalya, the forum is organized under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event gathers over 20 heads of state and government, more than 50 foreign ministers, over 70 ministers, and around 60 senior representatives from international organizations, with a total of approximately 4,000 participants, including students.
Throughout the forum, over 50 sessions in various formats will address a wide range of topics, spanning from regional issues in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Latin America to key global challenges such as climate change, counterterrorism, humanitarian aid, digitization, food security, and artificial intelligence.
