Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has held talks with Türkiye’s new Ambassador to the country, Mustafa Türker Ari, focusing on bilateral relations and regional connectivity projects.

As Georgia’s First Channel reports, Kobakhidze congratulated the ambassador on the beginning of his mission and wished him success in his diplomatic tenure.

The sides underscored the strategic nature of relations between Georgia and Türkiye, noting that the partnership is grounded in shared regional interests.

Particular emphasis was placed on expanding economic cooperation, with officials highlighting that Türkiye remains Georgia’s largest trading partner.

The discussions also addressed prospects for the development of the Middle Corridor and the implementation of joint regional initiatives. In this context, both sides stressed the importance of strengthening peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
