Tbilisi Supreme Court evacuated following bomb threat
Authorities in Georgia evacuated the Supreme Court building in Tbilisi after receiving a bomb threat, marking the third such incident involving judicial institutions in the capital within a week.
The evacuation was carried out swiftly and involved all individuals present in the building, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
The Special Investigative Service later confirmed that the evacuation was triggered by a telephone warning claiming the presence of an explosive device on the premises.
While no device was immediately found, security protocols were fully activated, and bomb disposal units were dispatched to conduct a thorough search of the courthouse.
The incident follows two similar threats earlier in the week. Five days ago, the Supreme Court was previously evacuated under nearly identical circumstances, and a day prior to that, a bomb threat was phoned in to the Tbilisi City Court, prompting a full-scale evacuation.
In each case, the calls were made by an unidentified individual, and investigations remain ongoing to determine the source and possible motive behind the threats.
