Teen’s dangerous prank turns fatal in Astana apartment fire VIDEO

In a devastating incident in Astana, a teenager set a baby stroller on fire in the stairwell of a residential building on Ablai Khan Street, resulting in the death of a child.

The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the stairwell in dense smoke. An 11-year-old girl succumbed to the effects of carbon monoxide inhalation, while several other residents required hospitalization after suffering from smoke exposure, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.

Police have launched a criminal investigation into the incident. Authorities are working to establish the full circumstances and underlying causes of the fire.

“An investigation is underway. One of the victims, a minor, died from carbon monoxide poisoning,” police officials confirmed.
