Teenage dispute in Tbilisi, Georgia, ends in murder

A teenager has been detained in Tbilisi on suspicion of intentionally killing a peer following a domestic dispute, according to the Georgian Interior Ministry.

The ministry said the fatal incident occurred in Tbilisi on 10 September following a dispute, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

According to the investigation, during the altercation, the suspect stabbed his peer several times with a bladed weapon before fleeing the scene.

The injured minor died at the scene from his wounds before medical personnel arrived.

As a result of operational and investigative measures, police quickly identified the suspected killer and detained him.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 108 of Georgia’s Criminal Code (“intentional murder”). The article carries a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
