Tehran, northern Iran left without power after US, Israeli strike

Tehran and several northern regions of Iran experienced widespread power outages following a military strike by the United States and Israel, Nour News reports, citing Iran’s Ministry of Energy.

The ministry stated that in some areas of Tehran city and Alborz province, electricity has been cut off, and specialists are working to restore power.

Officials said the outage was caused by shrapnel from an exploded projectile damaging a high-voltage transmission tower in Alborz province.
