Tehran rejects evacuation reports near Natanz nuclear facility

Iran has denied reports suggesting an evacuation of the central city of Natanz, located near one of the country’s main nuclear facilities.

Iranian authorities dismissed claims that an evacuation had been ordered in the area, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.

Officials stated that such reports are part of what they described as increased “enemy propaganda”.

“The Prosecutor’s Office and the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Natanz have warned of intensified hostile propaganda, including false claims about an evacuation of the city.” 

The statement added that both the prosecutor’s office and the IRGC in Natanz have “officially denied this information”.
