Tehran warns US will bear full responsibility for regional escalation

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that the United States would be held responsible for any violation of a memorandum by itself or by its regional allies, including Israel.

Speaking at a weekly press conference, Baghaei stated: “Responsibility for any violations of the agreement by other participants and US allies in the region will be borne by the American side.”

He added that in the Middle East, there is no belief that Israel is interested in regional stability or that it can take any actions without coordination with the United States, and therefore, responsibility ultimately lies with Washington.
