Ten ISIS members arrested in Ankara for financing terrorist activities
Turkish authorities have arrested ten members of ISIS in Ankara on charges of financing the terrorist organisation, the Chief Prosecutor’s Office announced.
According to the statement, an investigation by the Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau found that bank account transactions and social media activity linked the suspects, along with their families, to financial support for ISIS, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
The individuals were identified as part of the Ankara-based network of the group and were found to have committed the crime of financing terrorism.
The Ankara Police Department’s Anti-Terrorism Branch is continuing its procedures to formally process the arrests and transfer the suspects to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for further legal action.
