The Times of Israel: At least six people killed, over 200 injured
At least six people were killed and more than 200 others were injured when rockets were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7.
At least 20 victims are in serious or critical condition, the paper says, adding that earlier it was reported about one death and 15 injuries, The Times of Israel paper says.
On the morning of October 7, rocket attacks began on Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. Alarms have been sounding continuously since 06:28 in many locations across the country, including the Tel Aviv area and its surroundings. In the context of what is happening, the Israeli army declared a “state of readiness for war”.
In turn, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Galant approved the conscription of reservists into the army and ordered the introduction of a “special situation in the rear” within a radius of 80 km from the Gaza Strip, which includes the territory of Tel Aviv and its suburbs. Following this, he said that Hamas had started a war against Israel, calling it a serious mistake. He said that the Israeli military was fighting the enemy and assured that Israel would win this war.
