Three detained at “Strong Armenia” party office in Gyumri
Armenian police have detained three people at the office of the “Strong Armenia” party in Gyumri, according to Assistant Interior Minister of Armenia Artur Hovhannisyan who did not specify what the law enforcement actions were related to.
Lawyer Artush Harutyunyan said he had been informed by the party office about the arrival of police officers, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
He stated that he went to the scene, where he found the office doors locked and made several unsuccessful attempts to enter.
In the lawyer’s view, it is currently unclear what is happening inside the premises or whether there are people inside.
No further details have been provided at this time.
Earlier reports said that masked individuals had surrounded the “Strong Armenia” party office in Gyumri.
The leader of the “Strong Armenia” party is Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan.
