Three Iranian Red Crescent staff injured in attack near Tehran video
Three members of the Iranian Red Crescent Society were injured early Friday, March 13, in an attack near a toll station on the highway connecting Tehran and Qom.
According to the organisation’s press service, which announced the incident on Telegram, the attack occurred at a toll collection point located along the major highway linking the Iranian capital with the city of Qom.
During the shelling, one of the Red Crescent’s aid posts at the site was damaged. The three injured staff members were subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.
One of the wounded employees told Iranian state media that he heard aircraft flying overhead shortly before the strikes.
“I heard the sound of planes above us and felt two simultaneous impacts,” he said.
“We stepped aside, and the third wave knocked me off my feet,” the injured worker added.
