Three police officers killed in attack on patrol in southeastern Iran

Three law enforcement officers have been killed in an armed attack on a police patrol in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province.

According to a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), unknown armed individuals opened fire on the patrol, resulting in the deaths of three officers. A search operation for the attackers is ongoing.

Sistan and Baluchestan province is known for frequent anti-government protests and clashes with security forces.
