Timeline for Iran’s new Supreme Leader remains unclear, cleric says
Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini, a member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts and representative of the Supreme Leader in Iraq and Syria, said the timeline for choosing a new Supreme Leader is currently unknown.
He noted that the process requires careful evaluation of all conditions and extensive consultations, Khabar Fouri reports.
Hosseini expressed hope that the Assembly of Experts would convene soon to make a final decision. He also highlighted that the nation’s unity and support have been strengthened by the martyrdom of the great leader.
The ayatollah further warned of foreign interference, stating: “The enemy spent billions of dollars to confuse the people, but these events have shown even those under the influence of the enemy who the traitors are, and that the weak Arab states are their puppets.”
